What’s Coming Soon to Evernote?!
These are taken from the episodes Evernote released over on YouTube, they will be linked below with some of the key notes they have planned.
1. Better Web Search

In this first episode, Mariano and Ian have a chat about the Search experience on the Evernote Web edition.
Their goal with the new search bar aims to be sleek and smarter and better to use in web.
The new search will allow you to filter, get suggestions and connect with existing notes.

2. The New, Improved Editor
The second episode covered the new Editor.
This is something Evernote wants to solve as there are 5 different editors across 5 platforms. This aims to be the cross-platform solution. In this feature, Sascha and Ian chat about this.

From the headers to the section dividers, the new editor helps to make things easier to manage for any of your notes.
Adding multimedia, improving fonts and updated checkboxes — it’s all cleaner and richer than last time and spans across all the devices you have with no issues.

3. Better Service Reliability
This 3rd episode is more for the infrastructure/cloud fans of Evernote.Unker and Ian chatter about cloud experience
This one is a lot more technical. Essentially, Ian and Unker, cover the stability and reliability of Evernote and how it works.
In the video, they address the issue that Evernote had a few months ago and address the issue what happens.
One thing I love about this episode, Evernote chats about something we can’t see and explain it in laments terms that people will understand.

4. Better iOS & Android Mobile Buttons

In this final episode, Ian and Aidan, they address the iOS and Android note-buttons. This is the button we press to create a quick note and capture different forms of information.
This button aims to help you find the correct feature and help you to advance your use of Evernote.

You can see here the final edition they went with and I do think this looks really strong and much better for the average Evernote user.

Has this helped Evernote?
Evernote’s goal has been to restore faith and work on their core experience.
I think this has been the best path for them, they need to get to grips with the structure of Evernote before chasing up with Notion or other such tools.

Although I think Chris O’Neill, their previous CEO was good for their cashflow, focusing a lot on the business customers, I was upset that we never got to see him, seeing as we saw Phil Libin every second.
Whereas with Ian’s sessions, he seems engaged, ready to take on this challenge and open to chat about it.
Even in my first chat with Ian, he brought some gems about his history with Evernote and why he wants to solve the basics before advancing things.
For Evernote users, they might see this new series as aa way to slow down our thoughts on the new Evernote experience and I don’t blame them.
This level of transparency is good as it shows what’s coming, but for loyalists of Evernote, they just want to see them shipped.
